Creating a contemporary skincare brand
FaceGlow is a skincare brand offering a 360° approach to beauty. Conceived and executed by Make Studio, FaceGlow is about helping women age well, to look and feel good at any stage in life. As a company, they are challenging the standard industry approach to beauty and giving women the knowledge, tools and support to reach their beauty and lifestyle goals.
Changing the world one face at a time, FaceGlow wanted a simple, memorable and future facing brand that supported their ethos ‘It’s not a treatment, it’s a lifestyle’. Make Studio set about creating a contemporary skincare brand with a lifestyle- led approach.
Excluding nobody
We developed a community-led brand that is inclusive, forward-thinking and champions all women. It was crucial the brand’s aesthetic aligned with their values of being fresh, modern, progressive, beautiful and digitally-led.
We defined the ‘glow’ as a visual representation of radiance, and explored the concept ‘around the clock’ skincare and wellbeing.
Driven by health
Make Studio wanted the FaceGlow brand aesthetic to be visually led by science and technology rather than the standard beauty industry cliches. We created an elegant and refined wordmark that sits alongside a stylised icon that reflects the products around the clock care as well as symbolising radiance and good health.
A sophisticated palette of brand colours evokes feelings of serenity and mindfulness paired with a photography style that champions real women. It was important for the brand imagery to be led by genuine product users that the audience could aspire to as well as showcasing the brand’s growing community. This is ageing well, not anti-aging.
