Cullen Homes, known for their exceptional waterside property developments, partnered with Make Studio to refine their brand, aligning it with the sophistication and modernity of their projects. As a multi-award-winning company, they excel in creating luxurious homes across affluent areas of England’s South Coast. With over a decade of experience in the luxury sector and ideas that have stemmed from all over the globe, Cullen pride themselves on being at the forefront of contemporary architecture and interior design trends.
Their portfolio, featuring designs inspired by the pinnacle of residential and hospitality architecture, set the stage for a brand evolution that would reflect their commitment to excellence and innovation. As frequent clients of our sister company Make Believe, who produce CGIs for their developments, our pre-existing partnership led to a great working relationship and set the stage for an incredible project.
Contemporary foundations
Our rebranding journey with Cullen Homes began with a collaborative workshop, encouraging a dynamic exchange between our design team and Cullen’s leadership. This deep dive into their brand’s core – its values, objectives, market position, and customer engagement strategies – combined with extensive market research, laid the foundation for a reimagined brand identity.
We recognised the need for Cullen’s visual identity to transcend its competitors, embodying refinement, modernity, and elegance. As a result of this, the rebrand took risks in order to shift the way they present themselves away from the past and instead towards a more refined and modern future.
Striking sophistication
The essence of the Cullen brand was distilled into a streamlined and powerful identity. Central to this was the ‘CULLEN’ wordmark, a bold representation that encapsulates the brand’s core strengths through the high contrast font weight – striking but sophisticated. To accompany this we selected a colour palette that mirrored the luxury and sophistication Cullen’s homes are renowned for with muted blacks, greys, and whites, thus creating a minimalistic yet confident aesthetic which was carried across various brand elements, including marketing materials, digital content, and a revamped website.
The website’s transformation was a key element of this project, with properties now showcased on microsite pages, offering detailed insights and showcasing the unique features of each home, all rendered through beautiful CGIs. The rebrand has been met with outstanding feedback, marking a significant milestone for Cullen Homes. It represents not just a change in aesthetics but a commitment to continually pushing the boundaries in property development. With this new identity, Cullen Homes stands ready to embrace the future, setting new standards in luxury and design.
