Meet some of a creatives from our Bournemouth office

By

We thought we’d take advantage of this sunny autumn day and photograph our wonderful Make Studio and Make Believe creative team from our Bournemouth office. From graphic designers to CGI artists, this is just one-half of our expert team who are committed to helping our clients achieve their creative vision. Let us introduce you to Sammy, Andy, May and Fletcher.

Sammy Murphy, Middleweight Graphic Designer

Sammy is our middleweight graphic designer from London. Her time in the capital has seen her work with a range of national and international brands including BBC Music, Barclays, Nesta, Hammerson and The Sunday Times.

In the two years since Sammy joined the Make Studio team, she’s already been a part of some exciting projects; including brand and website design for Marlow Architects, illustration for local campaign Sort **it Out and marketing collateral for ABB.

Sammy’s love for design continues outside of work, where she’s the proud co-founder of Pier- a local community journal celebrating the creative culture of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

“Moving to Bournemouth has been the best decision I’ve ever made. There is more time spent on finessing an idea and producing work to the highest level. Some of the best work I’ve produced in my career has been for Make Studio, because they understand the creative process and the importance of a positive working environment. I’m excited to see what the next two years will bring.”

Andy Summers, Senior Graphic Designer

Andy is our senior graphic designer, having also traded the hustle and bustle of the Big Smoke for life on the coast. He cut his teeth working for some of London’s largest property clients, creating brands for key commercial and residential schemes as well as launching placemaking branding for flagship destinations across the capital.

Andy has been integral in Make Studio’s latest projects; including brand creation for Esteem Upholstery, campaign creation for BCP Council and product advertising campaigns for Georg Fischer.

If he’s not sampling the local coffee scene you’ll find him with a surfboard under his arm.

“The variety of work coming out of Make Studio, across different sectors, is what really excites me as a designer and keeps me on my toes creatively. With a strong team that’s always willing to pull together it makes for a really collaborative working environment. (Swapping a commute on the tube for a walk along the beach also helps.)”

May Kojanavaranon, Junior CGI Artist & Motion Designer

Upon graduating from the Arts University Bournemouth in 2020, May now specialises in CGI motion design and has since worked with a range of local studios, including MEGA design agency where we spotted her talent. She combines her degree in graphic design with a passion for 3D and motion to create powerful and engaging visuals.

After interviewing May, it was very clear her enthusiasm and passion for visualisation would sit very nicely within our studio. Her positivity and eagerness to learn new skills has made her a great asset to our team. May has already started making magic for some of Make Studios biggest clients and we’re excited to see her grow as a CGI designer.

May’s love for 3D visualisation extends to outside of work, where you’ll find her getting lost in the world of video games and technology. When she’s not engaging in online competitive matches, you’ll find her exploring the vast maps of various open world games.

“Working at Make Studio for the last year has been extremely rewarding, gaining invaluable experience. As a designer, I always strive to improve my skills and knowledge. Make allows me to do that both as an individual and as part of a team.”

Fletcher Clay, Middleweight Graphic Designer

Lastly, introducing our newest member of the Make Believe team, CGI artist Fletcher Clay.

Fletcher has 5 years experience in producing architectural CGIs for some of the area’s leading architects and developers. Looking to further his technical practice, Fletcher seeked an opportunity at Make Believe.

Fletcher’s eagerness to learn new skills has made him a great asset to our team. Collaborating with both our in-house and international team, Fletcher has already worked on some of Make Believe and Make Studio’s biggest clients.

Fletcher’s love for design extends to outside of work, where he is a keen photographer. When he’s not documenting his travels, you’ll find him on his motorbike driving to his next destination.

“I joined Make Believe to expand my knowledge of the industry and to work with the great team they have. In my short time here I’ve already learnt so much and had the opportunity to work on some amazing projects!”
