We’ve recently launched the brand and marketing for CALME, an intimate collection of eight luxury homes by Bayview Developments, positioned on Southbourne’s clifftop with panoramic views across the Dorset coastline.
Having previously worked with Bayview to refresh their wider brand identity, CALME gave us the opportunity to create something distinct for the development itself. From the outset, the ambition was to capture a quieter approach to coastal living, creating an identity that reflected the architecture, its natural surroundings and the sense of calm that comes from living by the sea.
The name CALME became the starting point for the creative direction. Simple, understated and evocative, it informed a refined visual identity brought to life through a natural colour palette, warm gradients and spacious layouts. The result is a brand that feels contemporary and luxurious without becoming overly polished or fussy.
This sense of understated luxury was carried through every touchpoint. Make Studio developed the complete suite of marketing materials, including the development website, digital assets and on-site hoarding, creating a consistent visual language designed to take prospective buyers from their first interaction with CALME through to exploring the individual residences themselves.
Central to bringing the development to life was our collaboration with sister studio Make Believe, who produced the complete collection of interior and exterior CGI imagery. Working closely across both studios allowed the brand and visualisation to develop as one cohesive creative approach, creating a seamless experience that reflects the development’s quality and character.
The finished identity is deliberately understated, letting the location, architecture, and imagery do the talking. A cohesive residential brand built around a simple idea: life at a gentler pace.
