The Arts University Bournemouth’s annual Graphic Design Network Event is always a highlight on our calendar, and this year it truly stood out with an exceptional display of creativity. The evening offers second year Graphic Design students invaluable industry insights and opportunities to connect with local studios as well as those further afield.
This year, Andy and Dan from our creative team were invited to represent Make Studio. Throughout the evening, we had the pleasure of sitting with seven students to review their portfolios. As a recent AUB alumni, Dan provided a unique perspective on transitioning into the industry, sharing his journey and offering practical tips and guidance. Each year, the students’ work seems to reach new heights in quality and professionalism, and we were constantly impressed by their creative thinking, execution, and adept use of emerging technologies and software. We provided them with constructive feedback and advice to aid their progress in their final year and help secure industry roles.
A massive thank you to Head of Year, Alice Stevens, for organizing such a fantastic evening. We’re already looking forward to the upcoming summer degree show and witnessing the continued development of the students we met.
