The project

The Lusso is a boutique collection of nine luxury apartments on the south coast, designed to reflect the beauty of their coastal surroundings. Developed by Pierfront Developments, a privately owned and family-run company with a strong local reputation, the ambition behind the project was clear from the outset, to create a standout residential experience that would elevate the market and offer something truly special.

Pierfront approached Make Studio to lead the branding process from the ground up, giving us the opportunity to shape the development’s identity at every stage from naming and positioning through to visual rollout and on-site collateral.

Design rooted in place and perspective

The approach

We began with a collaborative workshop, bringing together our creative team with Pierfront’s leadership to align on objectives, audiences, and ambitions. Through this session, we explored user personas, researched local and international benchmarks, and studied competitors to identify how The Lusso could make its mark.

One of the key strategic aims was to reflect the quality of the build through a brand that felt calm, considered, and elegant, going beyond the expectations of a typical local development. Drawing inspiration from nature and architecture, we focused on capturing a lifestyle-led narrative that would resonate with buyers looking to escape the city in favour of refined coastal living.

Organic curves, calming tones, and crafted details

An identity shaped by nature

The solution

The chosen brand direction was inspired by the natural rhythm of the site, from the movement of the Sandbanks tide to the soft incline of the surrounding landscape. These references informed the design of a flowing, sculptural wordmark with rounded, elegant forms that echo the development’s coastal setting. The wider identity followed suit, using a muted palette of foliage green, sand, and stone, paired with soft editorial typography to create a sense of ease and sophistication. Lifestyle-focused storytelling, calm photography, and spacious layouts helped bring the brand’s tone to life, positioning The Lusso as a premium, design-led choice for modern buyers.

We also designed a suite of launch materials including hoarding, a holding page, and early advertising assets. With a microsite now in development, the brand is set to evolve further as the apartments are released to market, a project that captures both the character of the coast and the ambition of its creators.
